They currently have a 4 mo old campground kitten that is the most playful thing ever. It tried to play with our dog and kept stalking her and trying to play with us. So 5 stars lol also they have tarps to borrow and nice people.
I know the guidebook says $7 a night, but they recently increased the price to $30 a night. Also rude staff. I'd strongly advise going to Chestnut Creek Campground (quarter of the price). Happy climbing :)
Definitely would recommend this campsite for anyone with a small group staying. Natalie is really great and will do whatever she can to help. And you can't beat the price of a private site (4 people).
You can walk to some of the crags, the campground manager is friendly and helpful, there is free firewood for communal pits, a cell phone charging area, and there are discounts for American Alpine Club members. Your largest frustration will be coming up with quarters for their $0.25/min shower setup. If they merely raised the price and included showers it would get five stars.
Natalie is a great host to start. Perfect place to play for a few New Englanders looking to get on rock before our season starts. You can walk or drive to all places so easily and the community and services here are top notch for a climbing campground.
